There are two main ways to own a new home built by us. You can buy a home we have designed and built, often called a spec home, or you can build a custom home on a lot you own. Both can be right. It depends on what matters most to you.
A home we design and build
- You can see the plans, and often walk the home, before you commit
- The price is known up front
- You move in sooner, because the design and permits are already done
- If you buy early, you may still be able to choose some finishes
A custom home on your lot
- The plan is shaped entirely around your family and your site
- You choose every finish and fixture
- It takes longer, because design and permitting start with you
- The budget is set as the design develops, with a detailed estimate before construction

- How soon do you need to move?
- Do you already own a lot, or love a particular street?
- How much do you want to be involved in design decisions?
- Is a known, fixed price more important than complete freedom?
